Earthi Logo
I am currently in the process of finishing the design for the Earthi brand. As part of this, I created low fidelity wireframes so that the site structure followed best UX practices ensuring the website would be easy to navigate with a seamless shopping experience.
Once completed, I then progressed on to designing the website using Adobe XD, ensuring that it made use of the colours, fonts, and styling of the brand guidelines. I then prototyped animations for the site to ensure that it could be easily interpreted and visualised by the developers.
I identified that potential customers have found ingredient information particularly important, so I put special consideration to make it as informative and clear as possible so the customer knew the ingredients and their benefits.
01. Research
Create a competitor analysis to identify opportunities for growth in the sector, and conduct a content audit to identify keyword opportunities that would improve organic online presence. Do UX research through interviews, user persona’s, and card sorting to understand my target audience and take the information into my design.
02. Design
Create brand guidelines which can be considered when creating a website, newsletter or other marketing material. When creating mobile and website designs firstly I’d design wireframes to create architecture of information and user journey, which would be followed by a review and prototype development.
03. Develop
The prototype would be developed to showcase how the website would look when developed. During this stage animations and other UI elements are tested on Adobe XD for example to identify potential problems and correct them before sending the design to the development team.
Branding
A strong visual appeal is extremely important for skincare products which would guide the packaging and visual designs. Competitor research was done to make sure that the brand remained true to its environmentally friendly credentials whilst still maintaining the key colours of nature.

Website
The branding made sure that the website could be visually striking and even if the website only had plain kraft packaging it would stand out – I was able to do this by using a bold dark colour which contrasted well with the bright yellow logo and the kraft paper.

Website
As part of the design process , I created low fidelity wireframes to ensure that the site structure followed best UX practices. It was also important to include a blog on the site that would be easy to navigate as well as helping with SEO. The posts will also educate the customers by giving them more information on ingredients and products.
Packaging Design
A key consideration when I was designing the packaging for the brand was to ensure it was environmentally friendly to make sure it matched my brand values. I chose to use kraft paper packaging due to its natural appearance and ability to be recycled. Alongside this, I wanted the design to also be visually striking to make sure it could stand out on a crowded shop shelf or a busy website. The packaging design makes the brand seem modern and professional whilst not appearling overly exclusive or expensive.
